ABOUT THE OWNERS
We Sold Everything, Bought a Van, and Found This Place. Somehow, It Was Exactly What We Were Looking For.
We didn’t plan to own a glampground in the Arizona desert. We planned to sell our house in Atlanta, hit the road in a van, and figure the rest out as we went.
The desert had other ideas.
THE LEAP
After 13 years together, three kids ready to launch, and a town we’d genuinely outgrown, we looked at each other and made the call. In December 2024, we sold the house, sold the cars, got rid of almost everything, and drove away in a fully built-out Ram ProMaster named SaVana.
For Gil — Georgia Tech grad, tech career, born and raised in Savannah, GA — it was the adventure he’d been quietly calculating for years. The kind of restlessness that builds when you know you have more to give than your current life is asking for.
For me, Tiffany — born in San Francisco, raised in Germany, trained in interior design, operations, and hospitality — it was something deeper. After years of pouring myself into everyone and everything else, I’d hit a wall. The road wasn’t just an escape. It was the space I finally gave myself to breathe, to heal, and to find my way back to myself.
Van life, it turns out, is surprisingly good medicine.

THE FIND
We knew we wanted to put our home equity into something we could build with our hands and our whole hearts. Not a portfolio. Something real.
For over a year, we searched for the right land. Dead ends. Roadblocks. More than a few moments of wondering if it would ever come together.
Then, at a friend’s birthday party, the right introduction found us.
The previous owner had built something truly special in the high desert — then eventually moved to Canada, and had been quietly waiting for the right people to carry it forward. The moment the three of us got on a call, something clicked. Two and a half months later, the papers were signed.
Camp Land Beyond Zion was ours.

THE PINCH-ME MOMENT
The first week after closing was a whirlwind. And then, without quite being ready for it, we found ourselves completely alone on the property. Sitting under a clear evening sky, red rock all around, not another soul in sight.
Our dream had actually come true. And it was better than we’d imagined.
We live here full time — in SaVana, parked on the property, right alongside our guests. And we are not alone. Josey, our 15-pound rescue dog, has fully claimed Camp LBZ as her personal hunting ground — every bug and lizard on the property is on notice.
COME FIND US
I’m the artist and the dreamer. Gil is the one who makes it real. Together, we’re building something we always wished existed — a place where everyone feels genuinely seen, where sustainability isn’t a buzzword, where community actually happens, and where the desert does what deserts do best: strips everything back to what matters.
Whether you’re chasing your next adventure, craving a real reset, or drawn here by something you haven’t quite named yet — there’s a place for you at Camp LBZ.
Come find us. We’d love to meet you.
